Community Newswire

The Community Newswire launched by the Home Office in 2004 is a free service run by the Media Trust and The Press Association, to help community and voluntary groups gain coverage in the media.

Each day Community Newswire journalists will write a selection of your news releases into stories. These go straight into the heart of England’s newsrooms. All you have to do is prepare your news release by following the online guidelines that help to plan your media campaign. You then submit your news release to the Community Newswire Website. On the Media Trust’s site you’ll find useful information explaining how the Newswire works and advice on what you should send to the Community Newswire including an explanation on how to take quality photographs for print.

This is a great free service and an opportunity for you to advertise the work that your club is doing or promoting an up-coming event.

Club Development Model

The GNAS are proposing the introduction of a club development model to provide a guide for clubs wanting to develop up to and beyond Club Mark. Members are invited to make comments on the draft model
