GNAS Development Partner The GNAS have contracted sports consultancy, Sport Structures Limited as their Development Partner for the sport. Over the next year Sport Structures’ role will include development within a number of areas archery to raise awareness of the sport and to put processes in place to enable increases in participation. Sport Structures have determined the current geographical position of archery development through the surveying of all 45 County Sport Partnerships (CSP). From this, ten initial CSPs have been identified that have, or plan to have, development processes in place for archery work. Focused development work with clubs and School Sport Partnerships can then begin to address the needs for the area. Over the year, the company will also assist GNAS in the implementation of Archery’s Club Mark and in working towards the Equality Standards. The GNAS is committed to equality and by achieving the foundation level of the Equality Standards GNAS will be able to build on existing good practice in equality. As an Olympic and Paralympic sport, GNAS is taking a long term view to build a strong legacy for the sport on the back of 2012 through this project. Please see the website (link below) and click on Measure for Leisure to view mapping of CSPs and GNAS Focus Clubs. For more information please visit Sport Structures website or contact Kate Griffiths through the GNAS office.
